FORTY YEARS OF BLACK STUDIES IN THE LOCAL, NATIONAL, AND GLOBAL SPACES :
PAST ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND NEW DIRECTIONS
PAPER : LANDSCAPE OF THE HUMAN CONDITION TROUGH DIOP AND DUBOIS
Globalisation is that phenomen which implies that all problems, all questioning be henceforth,
tackled, analyzed, at scale, with a global vision, without masking hiding that the fact the dominant ideas are the ideas of the dominant class and that the ideas of the dominant class are the superior ideas. This said I would like to begin my paper while hoping to be received like a research professor within the community of scientific researchers who could hardy serve methodological obstacles, to underrate the inherent difficulties in scientific researches. that is to say : Scientific validity in its epistemological basement ; Philosophical interpretation of history in relation with in theory, political, psychological, Problem of the direction of the evolution of humanity ; negative value of historical past.
I was saying therefore that I wish to start my communication in wishing to be exactly received as a
researcher whose subject of study is the black world and its impacts on the Black/Africana Studies in a
narrow sense (stricto sensu : Pedagogic, Programs, Teachings, Methods), but also in a large sense (lato
sensu : Activities : Travel, trips)
This black world which exists everywhere (in Africa, in Oceania, in Asia, in America) ; in it's
complexity (the question of the perception of the Black demands a double solidarity, a horizontal solidarity
coming outside : the historical facts and a vertical solidarity : the link of civilization which leads to a nidering
path to the others but also introspection) ; in it's diversity (how to preserve the fundamental and essential
dimension of Africa ? with a most important question who doesn't know the lock up problem of space and time :
HOW TO AVOID TOTAL MISUNDERSTANDING BEFORE THE CONDITION OF A BLACK MAN
WHO IS ALWAYS CONCERNED BY CONSCIOUSNESS ?
To obtain the aimed result, even thought we owe to horkheimer's philosopher, from the francfort
school the idea, the formular which says : " there is no a real life in a wrong life " we must create a new
dynamic according to the egyptian's idea called " UHEM MESUT " (what is right), in greek " PARRHESIA
" (freedom speech) , in latin " LIBERTAS " who give a new vision of black intellectual, with a large culture,
the notion in greek of " PAIDEIA ".
I said to obtain a result, we must accept, first, conventional terms, common ideas in link with the
linguistic matter : what is exactly the sense of a word ? to understand myself and to be understood, and
avoid what was called in french middle age period : the fight of sense.
This is a reason for which we have prefered the pragmatic tradition (Pierce, Dubois, Quine) which
differenciates intuition from concept, which considers that the langage is a simple convention, which has to
be refuted, which takes the axiomatic logic against intuition, and which states that the truth is inseparable
from experimental science, and all the knowledge comes under at the same time langage and facts ;
concerning no issues problems like : is it the egg that gives the chicken or is it the chicken that gives the
egg ; or the story of half-empty glass for some or half-full glass for the others .
We have later chosen to differentiate the Kemites researchers and the Leucodermes researchers,
then we didn't get better than to split our Kemites researchers, in three category, three groups :
- The first one who are interested in the Past, the problematic of the Past and the Tradition.
- The second group who are interested in the Present and it's modern, contemporary problems.
- The third group interesting in the Future and visionary topics.
I said to obtain a result we must accept secondly three news paradigms :
First :
All researchers (Kemites or Leucodermes) consider that human races appear on the African
continent ; they accept together the " Bipedie " (Transformation from monkey to man) and the brain growth,
Today nobody accepts the story than is " stoles create human race "
The second Paradigm :
We must recognize that the spirit and the creativity of Kemit people have been stopped by the
Leucoderme people.
The last Paradigm :
Afrika lights on Egypt and Egypt lights on Afrika but we must have a new vision, a complete vision,
Afrika lights on America and the Diaspora and America and the Diaspora lights on Afrika.
To conclude this introduction, we must remember that " defeat today prepares the victories of
tomorow " and I would like to tell you about new methodoligical approach teaching inside Kemites
researchers of Europe and Afrika from my friend Professor Grégoire Biyogo of Gabon who is presently in
Cameroon and the other friend, Professor Jean Charles Gomez Coovi of Benin who lives in France.
